If you're in Las Vegas, find Kia Hamadani and buy him a drink #wsop57

Ultimate Casino Search

Kia Hamadani has everyone's least favorite poker distinction: Bubble Boy. All the worse on the game's biggest stage: the World Series of Poker Main Event.

Here's a quick write up from Poker Listings:

It took nearly two hours of hand-for-hand play but we have our 649th finisher. The dubious honor goes to Kia Hamadani.

Hamadani became extremely short-stacked and was actually all-in on his 500 ante after Reed Hensel bet 17,000. Two other players called and the flop came QhQd6h. Hensel fired again, this time for 20,000, and that got a fold out of both of his live opponents. Hamadani flipped over a very modest 4c3h, which was behind Hensel’s 9d2c.

The board finished with an emphatic 9d and then the 9s to earn Hensel the checkmark and Hamadani a trip to the rail.

It wasn’t all bad for Hamadani, however, as Jeffrey Pollack announced the WSOP and sponsor Jack Link’s Beef Jerky have agreed to buy Hamadani into next year’s WSOP. Hopefully he doesn’t bubble that one as well!

As soon as the elimination was announced, cheers rang out from across the Amazon Room with players high-fiving each other and celebrating their good fortune to have made it into the money.

Some players are quieter than others, however, as for pros like Phil Ivey, Bertrand Grospellier and Kevin Saul the real game is just beginning.

Expect the eliminations to be fast and furious as short-stacks finally have a good reason to get their chips in the middle and try and double up.

Phil Ivey, Lou Diamond Phillips among those taking advantage of #WSOP57 bubble

Ultimate Casino Search

The cash bubble just finally burst at the World Series of Poker Main Event, but not before players like Phil Ivey and Lou Diamond Phillips could take advantage and chip up their stacks.

Ivey now sits on 730,000 chips.

Phillips is up to 565,000. Not bad for a guy who wasn't even planning on playing before PokerStars called him and said, "Hey, we'll sponsor you."

If Phil Ivey doesn't beat you, he will at least leave you with a few nightmares.

The PokerToolBrat is a bit distraught after a bad call at the World Series of Poker Main Event. Be a bigger putz man there PhilBrat. Because this a joke, a TV hamming joke.

This is what a chip leader looks like at #WSOP57

Bertrand Grospellier leads the shrinking pack at the World Series of Poker Main Event with better than $1.6 million chips.

Priceless tweet from Joe Sebok while waiting patiently for #WSOP57 cash bubble to burst

From Seebs:
"Another all in. Shorty w/AA vs. AJ. Entire crowd starts chanting, "jacks, jacks". Not cool, man! 648 people to 1! Aces hold. Play on."

Bubble's been holding up for some time now. Our best to those fighting with the short stacks.

Have we mentioned how little we like Brad Garrett?
Jason Alexander we hate a little less, however.
And Gavin Smith will always be the duck.

One of our favorites, Dan Harrington chipping up at #WSOP57

Ultimate Casino Search

The guy we like to credit for our "Tight-Aggressive" style, Dan Harrington is among the chip leaders at the World Series of Poker Main Event again this year. He currently sits with about 500,000 chips.

A look at a recent hand courtesy Poker Listings:

More Action for Harrington

Crafty poker veteran Dan Harrington is proving once again why he basically wrote the book on modern tournament poker.

After chipping up in the early going Harrington just won another big pot when he got an opponent to shove on a 9c 8h 5s flop with Ks Qd while “Action” Dan had the goods with Kh Kd. There were no surprises on the turn or the river and the player was eliminated. Harrington is up to approximately 500,000.

Harrington hasn’t cashed in the Main Event since finishing fourth in the 2004 WSOP Main Event. (full story)

#WSOP57 has reached its first break with just 11 players left before the bubble

Ultimate Casino Search

Six hundred fourty-eight players will get paid in this year's World Series of Poker Main Event and in the first Day 4 break of the day there are 659 players left.
We hope the unlucky 11 can keep some food down during the break. They're going to need the energy.

Phil Ivey is all over it at the #WSOP

This Life of Ivey is a couple days old, and we're not sure if its more fun to watch Tina Tran or Phil, but it's definitely still worth watching.
